In my opinion the strong points of this wood lathe chuck system are the following:

- Well made. Good quality, not great, but more than adequate. The jaws hold well and the machining is good.
- Accessories, flat jaws, bowl turning jaws, etc. are very affordable
There was a problem with PSI shipping the wrong size allen wrench (3mm vs 5mm) with this set, but that has since been resolved and you should expect to receive the correct size. Other complaints are that it sometimes requires re-tightening while turning, but that is true of any wood lathe chuck and can’t really be avoided.
A good wood lathe chuck set is a very important piece of turning equipment. PSI is known made for making good tools at very good prices and this chuck set is an excellent example. This set will fit on mini, mid and full sized lathes, so even if you upgrade your lathe this kit will still work. This wood lathe chuck set is capable of handling small or large projects. It comes with a big range of different sized jaws, but if you need something even bigger consider adding these jumbo flat jaws.
